About CREATE Swansea
All mental health day and employment services provided by the City and County of Swansea Social Services can be accessed via CREATE.
Services are mainly based at, or operated from Cwmbwrla Day Services and include a wide range.

• Practical Daily Living Skills Training
• Personal Development
• Educational Courses
• Sports and Leisure Activities
• Horticulture and Gardening
• Arts, Craft and Woodwork Work Related Projects
• Employment Services, Vocational Advice and Guidance
• Community Services located at Day Services North
Many of the courses on offer can lead to nationally recognised qualifications.
Mental health day services provided by Swansea NHS Trust as part of CREATE are based at 2 locations.
Fforest Industries
Fforest Industries at Cwmdu Industrial Estate near Fforestfach, is a very busy graphic design, printing and packaging facility. The unit provides a wide range of printed material for the NHS Trust and for many external customers. Service users at Fforest Industries can gain experience in numerous skills related to the print industry and are encouraged to practice such skills, with staff support, at a pace at which they are comfortable. Service users receive payment for their work, at a level dependant upon their individual benefit entitlement.
The Woodwork Department
The Woodwork Department at Cefn Coed Hospital provides an opportunity for day attendance by service users. Experience can be gained in the full range of carpentry and joinery skills, plus soft furnishing, upholstery, key cutting and badge/sign making, whilst working in a friendly, supportive environment. |
