Gorseinon college has been delivering independent living skills to people with learning disabilities for over ten years.

Below is an idea of how Objective 1 funding has helped to increase the provision of our service :-

• More opportunity for work placements as funding helped to increase support and transport.

• More opportunity for external trips to broaden their experience and promote citizenship.

• Greater opportunities for integration into the mainstream vocational programmes within the college.

• Opportunity for employment of support workers to work alongside the beneficiaries.

• Following the ‘ASDAN Workright Programme’ which is a nationally recognised accredited training course.

• Helped to increase provision of the ‘Independent Living Programme’ run by the college.
