at Cwmbwrla Day
Services has
provided a welcome
boost to
our service.
Providing four extra
staff, enhancement
of the educational
structure
and extra
support for the ever
increasing
Employment Team.
P4E is helping us to
develop further the
expanding
and
successful Day
Services at
Cwmbwrla. Cwmbwrla Day Services
Art, Craft, Gardening, Daily Living Skills Training, Healthy
Eating on a Diet.
Computer skills training offering nationally recognised qualifications. New CLAIT
(Computer Literacy and Information Technology) and CLAIT Plus. Scanning, Photographic
Enhancement, Web Design and Digital Music.Football,
Weight Training, Swimming, Cycling, Rambling, Womens Fitness, Relaxation and
Yoga.We work closely with Swansea College and D.A.C.E.
(Department of Adult Continuing Education) at University College Swansea, providing
courses such as Art, Personal Development, Numeracy, Literacy, Welsh, Sociology
etc. Some of the courses are accredited. are
part of services provided by
the City and County of Swansea Social Services
Department. The service also includes input from the
Occupational Therapy Department of Cefn Coed Hospital
in Swansea.
Cwmbwrla Day Services is the base for the Employment
Needs Team. Work Projects are also co-ordinated from
Cwmbwrla.
A wide range of activities and facilities are offered for
people with mental health problems.![]()
There is a peripatetic
service reaching out to a wider geograhical area.
We offer a wide range of social clubs and activities in Penlan, Gorseinon and
Llansamlet. Also on offer are Yoga, Rambling and trips, both educational and
social. Transport to and from clubs can be arranged.
